1. MIIT: New energy vehicle production and sales are expected to maintain a relatively fast growth trend this year.
On February 6, a relevant official from the First Division of Equipment Industry at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology addressed the "Notice on Organizing Pilot Work for Comprehensive Electrification Demonstration Zones in the Public Sector." Based on the preliminary research conducted and feedback gathered from various stakeholders, it is anticipated that China's production and sales of new-energy vehicles will continue to maintain a relatively rapid growth trend this year.
Next, we will continue to optimize policy provisions. A coordination mechanism for the development of the new energy vehicle industry will be established to systematically advance comprehensive initiatives driving industry growth.
PART.2 Factory Updates
1. First week of February passenger vehicle sales
In the first week of February 2023, total car sales reached 268,000 units, averaging 38,000 units per day. During the same period, new-energy vehicle sales amounted to 69,900 units, with daily sales nearing 10,000 units—representing a 41% year-on-year increase compared to the first week after last year’s holiday period. Year-to-date, cumulative sales of new-energy vehicles have climbed to 341,000 units, marking a 7.7% rise compared to the same period last year.
New energy pure-electric vehicle sales reached 50,200 units, averaging 7,200 units per day—up 35.73% compared to the same period last year. Plug-in hybrid vehicle sales totaled 16,300 units, while range-extended models accounted for 3,700 units.
2. Zeekr's third vehicle is officially named ZEEKR X
Recently, Zeekr officially unveiled the official images of its third model and announced its final name—ZEEKR X. Reportedly, the ZEEKR X is built on Geely’s SEA Sustainable Experience Architecture platform, positioning itself as a compact all-electric SUV. It marks the third mass-produced vehicle under the Zeekr brand, breaking away from Zeekr’s previous tradition of using purely numerical naming conventions. The new model is expected to make its official debut at the Shanghai International Auto Show in April. Notably, the dual-motor version of the ZEEKR X will achieve a 0-100 km/h acceleration time in just under 3 seconds, making it the fastest model in its segment.
3. The all-new five-seat model of the Li Auto L7 is officially unveiled.
On February 8, Li Auto will hold the L7 launch event. The Li Auto L7 is positioned as a new family-oriented five-seater flagship model. In terms of intelligent driving, the AD Pro advanced driver-assistance system features one Horizon Journey 5 chip with a total computing power of 128 TOPS, while the AD Max intelligent driving system is equipped with two NVIDIA Orin-X chips, delivering an impressive total computing power of 508 TOPS.
In addition, the Ideal L7 is equipped with one 8-megapixel camera and nine 2-megapixel cameras. The LKA Plus, an enhanced lane-keeping system featuring autonomous overtaking and lane-changing capabilities—exclusive to the L7 Max model—will be rolled out gradually starting in the second quarter of 2023.

1. Hongjing Zhijia and Ambarella Forge Strategic Cooperation Based on the CV3-AD
On February 8, Hongjing Zhijia announced that it has become an ecosystem strategic partner with Ambarella. Hongjing Zhijia's intelligent driving solution product line will integrate Ambarella's CV3-AD series SoC chips, enabling the development of a high-performance automotive automatic driving domain controller platform. Additionally, the platform will feature Hongjing Zhijia's mass-production-ready perception, driving, and parking control algorithm software, delivering advanced-level autonomous driving solutions to customers.
