During the exhibition, Sunny Optical's Intelligent Technology Market Manager delivered a speech titled "Challenges and Opportunities in Automotive Cameras," sharing insights into the future trends of automotive camera technology. The presentation also highlighted the key differences between automotive cameras and radar sensors, as well as their distinct application scenarios. Additionally, it was emphasized that automotive cameras operate in far more demanding environments compared to traditional industrial or smartphone cameras—conditions such as extreme temperatures, stray light, high humidity, and adverse weather must be reliably managed to ensure optimal performance. Moreover, advancements in pixel resolution and meeting stringent high-dynamic-range requirements remain critical areas of focus.
He pointed out that, in the development of in-vehicle cameras, with the rapid advancement of intelligent driving—from Level 2 to Level 3—these cameras have evolved beyond mere tools for recording the driving process, increasingly becoming a critical component of both intelligent driving systems and smart cockpit technologies. As a result, market demand for in-vehicle cameras is set to grow continuously.
