This year’s show, themed "Embracing a New Era in the Automotive Industry," kicked off at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Media have already hailed this year’s Shanghai Auto Show as "the most exciting one in history."
This year's Shanghai Auto Show has become the first international A-level auto show held in China since the pandemic, attracting more than 1,000 companies and utilizing 13 indoor exhibition halls. According to estimates, the show is expected to draw over 1 million visitors.
Against this backdrop, all participating companies have showcased their strongest product lines without holding back, unveiling new strategies, innovative vehicle models, and cutting-edge technologies. As major automakers compete fiercely across branding, design, hardware features, and intelligent driving experiences, it’s truly a "battle among gods."

01 Environmental Perception Collection
Zeekr Series: Zeekr 001, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X

(Zeekr 001)
The Zeekr 001 is equipped with 15 cameras, including 7 high-resolution 8-megapixel cameras. With the addition of front-facing stereo cameras and side-mounted 8-megapixel cameras, combined with Mobileye's SFM algorithm, the system uses cross-triangulation from multiple cameras to generate a 3D image, enabling precise object recognition.

The Zeekr 009 comes standard across the entire lineup with two high-performance Mobileye EyeQ5H chips manufactured using 7nm process technology, along with seven 8-megapixel HD cameras capable of capturing images from a maximum range of 600 meters. The Zeekr 009 features NZP autonomous navigation-assisted driving, enabling functions such as autonomous entry and exit onto highway ramps, adaptive cruise control, lane changes, and seamless interconnectivity between different road networks.

The Zeekr X comes fully equipped with five cameras, including a 1.7-megapixel front-facing camera that enables full-speed-range adaptive cruise control, proactive lane-keeping for large vehicles, blind-spot monitoring, and remote direct-in/direct-out parking—along with over 10 other advanced driver-assistance features.
Ideal Series: L9, L8, L7

(Ideal L9)
On the advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) level, the Li Auto L9 is equipped with six 8-megapixel cameras, five 2-megapixel cameras, one millimeter-wave radar, 12 ultrasonic radars, and one lidar. Combined, the two NVIDIA Orin-X chips deliver a total computing power of up to 508 TOPS.

(Ideal L8)
In terms of the hardware and software for its advanced driver-assistance system, the Li Auto L8 is equipped with two NVIDIA Orin-X chips, delivering over four times the computing power. It also features six 8-megapixel cameras, five 2-megapixel cameras, and a dedicated high-precision positioning module, resulting in an even more robust overall hardware setup.

The Ideal L7 is equipped with six 8-megapixel cameras and five 2-megapixel cameras.
BYD Series: Han, Tang

(Han EV)
In terms of intelligent driver-assistance systems, BYD Han's LDW system primarily relies on a high-definition front-facing camera to continuously monitor lane markings in real time, ensuring the vehicle remains precisely centered within its lane.

(Byd Tang EV)
The BYD Tang is equipped with an L2-level intelligent driving assistance system, featuring four surround-view cameras and one high-perception camera to deliver 360-degree, blind-spot-free coverage across the vehicle. Additionally, features like lane-change assist, HUD head-up display, and intelligent remote parking are all standard across the entire lineup.
Looking up at the U9

The U9's intelligent ZhiTan architecture leverages over 50 sensors to achieve all-around perception of the driver, the vehicle itself, the road conditions, the driving environment, the system, and even cloud-based data. This enables the car to instantly detect real-time changes in its surroundings, providing critical information that supports precise vehicle control. These sensors include multiple road-sensing components, such as mono- and binocular cameras, which can identify road features and elevation profiles within a 5–150-meter range ahead of the vehicle—achieving recognition accuracy as high as ±3mm, with over 99% accuracy for objects within 15 meters.
Feifan R7

The IM L7 is equipped with 33 perception hardware components across the entire vehicle, including sensors like 8-megapixel cameras. It also features two NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips, enabling the IM L7 RISING PILOT all-in-one advanced intelligent driving system to deliver more precise, real-time detection, processing, prediction, and execution capabilities.

The G9’s perception system comprises 31 sensing components, including an 8-megapixel binocular camera that excels at distinguishing objects and accurately detecting their distances.

In terms of intelligent driving, the Polestar 4 is equipped with two Mobileye EyeQ5H driver-assistance chips and comes standard with 12 cameras, one ultra-long-range perception millimeter-wave radar, and 12 ultrasonic radars. In addition to basic features like FCW and AEB, it also supports advanced driver-assistance functions such as NPA (Navigate on Autopilot) for high-speed autonomous navigation, as well as automatic parking assistance and other cutting-edge technologies.

The NIO ES6 features 3 front-facing cameras, 4 surround-view cameras, and is equipped with an autonomous driving chip powered by four NVIDIA Drive Orin units, delivering advanced driver-assistance capabilities. After an OTA upgrade, it can now handle a wide range of scenarios, including highway driving, urban environments, parking, and battery swapping.

The NIO ES7, equipped with the Aquila super-sensing system, features—on the hardware side—two high-precision positioning units, one vehicle-to-infrastructure coordination sensor, and one enhanced driver-assistance perception module.
Adopting a lookout-tower-style hardware layout also allows for better optimization—specifically, the high-positioned side front cameras mounted on the roof provide a wide field of view. Even if the forward-facing main camera fails, the system can still achieve full forward-facing visual perception by relying on the two high-mounted side front cameras. In addition to increasing the number of cameras, the pixel resolution has been upgraded from 2 million to 8 million pixels. Meanwhile, NIO’s 11 lenses generate roughly 8GB of data per second—several times more than the previous NOP system—making it essential to equip the vehicle with a more powerful chip to handle the increased data load effectively.

Paired with a single NVIDIA Orin-X chip boasting up to 254 TOPS of computing power, the vehicle enables advanced driver-assistance features with millisecond-level precision.

As a smart car equipped with full-fledged social capabilities, the IM L7 has unveiled the first-ever publicly available real-life footage captured by its mass-produced Carlog system.
