China's auto exports ranked first globally in the first half of the year

According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's automobile exports reached 2.341 million units in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 76.9%. The value of these exports amounted to US$46.42 billion, representing a year-on-year growth of 1.1 times. In contrast, data from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association show that Japan exported 2.02 million vehicles in the first half of this year, up 17% compared to the same period last year.

From a brand perspective, the top 10 Chinese automakers in terms of export volume are SAIC Motor, Chery Automobile, Changan Automobile, Great Wall Motor, Geely Automobile, Dongfeng Motor, BYD Auto, and Beijing Automotive.

In the first week of August (July 31 to August 6), overall car market sales reached 421,000 vehicles, representing a 15% increase compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, Li Auto delivered 86,533 new vehicles to customers, representing a year-on-year increase of over 201.6%. Notably, June marked the first month when deliveries exceeded 30,000 units. As of early July, Li Auto has now accumulated total deliveries surpassing 400,000 vehicles.

Regarding the performance outlook, Li Auto expects to deliver between 100,000 and 103,000 vehicles in the third quarter, representing a year-over-year increase of 277.0% to 288.3%. Meanwhile, revenue is projected to reach RMB 32.33 billion to RMB 33.30 billion, reflecting a robust growth of 246.0% to 256.4% compared to the same period last year.
